The dashboard at /dashboard is the main workspace for monitoring indices and placing orders.

Admin dashboard

Admins see:
  • A Financial tab with live Zerodha positions
  • One tab per index you have access to (from pageAccess)
  • Ability to add/remove index tabs (except Financial)
  • Full order pages for options, cash, or futures per index setting
  • Schedule order tables and notification sounds
Tab colors match each index’s configured background and text colors.

User dashboard

Standard users see:
  • Tabs only for indices in their pageAccess
  • Simplified CALL/PUT buy buttons and recurring-buy shortcuts
  • No Financial tab or schedule-order management

Prerequisites for trading

  1. Platform login — you are signed in
  2. Zerodha connected — header shows Zerodha as logged in (green status)
  3. Market hours — automated strategies respect exchange hours (see Market hours)
  4. Index active — index setting isActive is true

Saving tab preferences

Admins: selected tab and open tab list persist to your user profile (activeTab, activeTickerSymbolTab) so they restore on next visit.
